In a recent interview, the Democrat’s front running candidate for the party’s presidential bid, Joe Biden, responded to a question that left people wondering what he said and that left the Dems with a serious problem. And as one story pointed out, it only incited reports of rumors and whispers that have recently been surrounding the former VP.
According to the story, the alarming exchange occurred during an interview on ABC’s “This Week.” During that interview, the front running candidate shared his thoughts on the current COVID-19 pandemic… or we think he did. The truth is, nobody understood what Biden was talking about.
Before we get too far ahead of ourselves though, here is the Biden response that has left us puzzled and perplexed: “We cannot let this, we’ve never allowed any crisis from the Civil War straight through to the pandemic of 17, all the way around, 16, we have never, never let our democracy sakes second fiddle, way they, we can both have a democracy and … correct the public health.”
Got it? Good, now explain it to the rest of us.
At one point, these round-about, dog-chasing-its-tail soliloquies were somewhat humorous and always entertaining. Then, they started to become more frequent. And now, people are whispering and the rumors aren’t good. In fact, this is where the story becomes sad for everyone and a potentially big problem for the Dems.
As our story so aptly pointed out, “Partisanship aside, Joe Biden is obviously suffering from a staggering mental decline. He is barely lucid or aware.” First and foremost, this leads to questions of the candidate’s mental and physical health. Is he even fit to be President?
On that front, the story also reminded us that, ‘this is after Biden hadn’t appeared on TV for several days. He’s been at home, not exhaustively crisscrossing the country via campaign events. There’s no reason for him to be “tired” or any other more mundane explainer for why he goes so off the rails here.’
The second concern here is regarding the impact this could have on the Dems. There are two general lines of thinking regarding the potential outcome of Biden’s state of mind and health.
If Biden continues (and that is becoming more questionable every day), who would really be running the show. Assuming Biden could somehow win the election and given these concerns, who would be the person actually be pulling the strings?
The other option, and it is where the whispers and rumors are being reported, is that Biden is replaced. As bad as the first option is, this route could be even worse. Would a Biden replacement carry the Biden faithful, all of them? Would replacing the front running Democratic candidate submarine their chances of taking back the Oval Office?
These Dems, however, seem to be bloodthirsty, not only for Trump’s head but also for the White House. That also means it is likely that Biden will be pushed and that the Dems won’t have any problem riding that horse all the way to the finish line if it meant victory. Then they could replace him with whoever they wanted, or as it was mentioned earlier, just keep him like a puppet on the string.
Oh yes, and let’s not forget, there is also a fellow named Bernie who probably won’t lose much sleep over a Biden replacement, even though Bernie calls Joe his friend. Not that Senator Sanders would wish bad health on his friend but if Joe wasn’t in the race…?
Yes, there seems to be a legitimate issue with Joe Biden’s health. That is the only possible conclusion to his continued series of incoherent rants, and for Joe Biden, that is sad. This is also a serious issue as well because this is about the Presidency of the United States.
What happens when Biden is in a debate versus President Trump in November and he can’t remember his name? Yes, that would almost be funny, if it didn’t seem like such a real possibility.
It isn’t fatigue. It isn’t an issue of being tired. It isn’t simply forgetfulness. It isn’t nerves, stress, or anything other than some type of serious issue. And it is a sad story for Joe Biden and a big problem for the Dems.
