Democrat Turned Republican – Liberals Heads Are Exploding!

Republicans are reaching out to some Democrats who voted against their own party every time they went after the president.  The farther America is being drugged along through this mess the Democrats have put us in, the more people realize the truth about Democrats.

They are the scum of the earth, and even those who are Democrats who are good people are switching sides.  Republican Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy reached out to Democratic Representative Jeff Van Drew when he noticed Pelosi and other Democrats wanted him out for voting against them.  President Trump had also reached out to Van Drew, putting the offer on the table to switch parties.

McCarthy told Representative Van Drew, “Trump would like to see you become a Republican.”  McCarthy also threw in a warning for him as well, reminding him his seat is up for election next year.  “Republicans were going to beat you anyway.”  For the last six weeks, Van Drew slipped further away from his party and would not support impeaching President Trump.  Multiple GOP members worked to persuade Van Drew to make the switch.

Chris Christie, Kellyanne Conway, and other House Republicans worked to show Van Drew the decision was well worth the switch.  His aides suspected he was going to make the switch but did not support him.  New Jersey was won by President Trump in 2016, and the state is swaying toward Republican lawmakers.  When he realized how many people were against him, even top Democrats, it flipped on the light switch.

Throughout the six weeks since Van Drew’s vote against Democrats, he has denied all speculation.  Reporters questioned him to get an answer, and he said, “There’s rumors going around about everything. I had [heard] so many rumors over the years about all kinds of crazy things.  No, it’s not [true]. I’m just doing what I’m doing, I’m still a Democrat.

Unknown to the Democratic party, for the last two weeks, the decision was made when Van Drew and his chief of staff, Allison Murphy, met with the president.  The decision was finalized after the meeting, but he had to keep it quiet until the time was right because he still had to deal with Pelosi.

Word slipped out, and the press confirmed Democratic Representative Jeff Van Drew had made the switch over to Republican.  Top Democrats were furious, and that day, Van Drew lost five of his aides as they quit on the spot.

The joint resignation letter read, “Sadly, Congressman Van Drew’s decision to join the ranks of the Republican party led by Donald Trump does not align with the values we brought to this job when we joined his office.  Trump Republicans have worked to aid and abet Trump as he shreds the Constitution and tears the country apart.”  They seemed pretty bitter in the letter.

Republicans who were going to go after Van Drew’s spot in Congress are the only ones who are upset because he has now secured his victory in the state when the 2020 elections take place.  If he had remained Democrat, he would have lost his position.  Everyone else was rejoicing and excited to have Van Drew on the right side of the fence.

Other Democrats who voted against their party like Representative Collin Peterson from Minnesota had offers thrown at them too.  Peterson stated, “I’m staying in the party, in spite of some of the stuff that’s going on that I don’t agree with. I am not going to switch parties at this stage of my career.

There have been overtures by the highest levels of the Republican party in the last couple weeks to ask if I would consider it, and I told them no.”  To secure their personal safety, no one would admit at this time.  Van Drew was the first official one to make the switch, but the chances are high, he won’t be the last.

President Trump tweeted, “Congressman Jeff Van Drew is very popular in our great and very united Republican Party.  It was a tribute to him that he was able to win his heavily Republican district as a Democrat. People like that are not easily replaceable!”  Trump added, “Always heard Jeff is very smart!”

The Democratic Governor of New Jersey Phil Murphy was outraged and said, “He’s putting politics over the Constitution, he’s putting cuteness over courage, and he’s cutting and running.  He apparently saw some poll numbers he didn’t like. He’s on the wrong side of impeachment.”  Actually, he is on the right!
