Liberal University Threatens to Rescind Acceptance to Student Over Pro-Trump Video

College, of all places, should be the one place where various points of view and backgrounds are readily accepted.

After all, it is the place where one is supposed to be taught about the reality of the world in which we live. However, in today’s age of the ever-persistent cancel culture of the left, even that place is no longer safe.

Our most recent example of this comes from Wisconsin and Marquette University.

Here, one Samantha Pfefferle was recently admitted as part of the school’s Class of 2024. Pfefferle already has a full class schedule, housing paid for, and roommates assigned.

However, after recently posting a TikTok video in which she expressed her pro-Trump views, that acceptance to college was put “in limbo,” as one school official told Pfefferle.

Apparently, the video made quite a few liberals very angry. And so, since she was wearing a Marquette sweatshirt in the video, the school was contacted.

Now, in a perfect world, when the school was advised of this student’s opinions, they would have made it known that varying viewpoints were not only allowed but encouraged in their classrooms, as this creates a much more realistic atmosphere for students to learn in.

Then again, if this were a perfect world, liberals wouldn’t feel the need to contact the school about such a petty notion. Nor would our nation be experiencing the ridiculousness of the cancel culture that we are.

But obviously, this isn’t a perfect world by any means. And so, rather than allowing differing viewpoints to thrive, they caved to the left’s demands and threatened to revoke Pfefferle’s acceptance into the school.

As I momentarily referenced, Pfefferle was contacted by school officials and told that, according to the school, “I wasn’t a student” yet and that her “classification is still in limbo and currently being decided by the administration.”

The official then proceeded to interrogate her about her political views, obviously trying to give her a guilt trip about her support of President Donald Trump.

She told College Fix, “They also asked me hypothetical questions regarding Dreamers. How would I respond if a Dreamer down the hall from me came up to me and told she didn’t feel safe or comfortable with my views being on campus…”

Additionally, she said, “The assistant dean asked if I put any thought into the response I would be getting from my videos.”

Now, first of all, this question in and of itself is about as condescending as it can get.

Secondly, it’s obvious, both by the content of the video and even the title that she accurately anticipated the response she would get from those who oppose her views.

The video in question is titled, “When the libs find their way to my page.” If that’s not a clue, I don’t know what is. The content is even more revealing of what she knows will happen when they “find their way” to her page.

Now, in the video, Pfefferle doesn’t really speak at all. In fact, it is a merely lip-synching act to the popular song “Gooba” by 6ix9ine. However, there are captions, and this is where her political views come into play.

As the song is performed, captions pop us that read, “When people see that I support Trump,” “then try to hate on me,” “and think I’ll change my views.”

She knew there would be people that wouldn’t like what she was expressing, saying, or supporting. She also knew they would “try to hate on me” and make her change her mind on those topics. She knew they would come after her, making her a target.

And make her a target, they most certainly did. Along with contacting the school and trying to get her acceptance revoked, many verbally attacked her online. One person even stated, “I hope you get shot.”

But thankfully, her video also created some allies and some very powerful ones at that.

A petition was even started in her honor, titled, “Stop Marquette University From Removing Incoming Conservative Student for Her Beliefs.” As of Thursday, it had 3,000 signatures already and was being in the process of being sent to prominent conservative leaders at both the state and federal levels, including President Trump and Fox News host Sean Hannity.

Since then, the school has contacted Pfefferle to let her know that her acceptance will not be revoked, obviously fearful of legal action that could be taken for refusing to allow this student her First Amendment rights.

Additionally, it has only bolstered Pfefferle’s courage to speak her mind on her beliefs.
