America has witnessed a direct and vicious assault on the democracy we hold so dear. Breaching America’s home, the U.S. Capitol building, was not just about breaking windows and pounding down doors. Not to those involved.
It’s no surprise how virtually every Republican leader in existence has condemned the violent acts which lead to death, injury, and destruction. This is not what their party represents and shame on those who think it does.
Even Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell delivered a scathing rebuke to the rioters when he said, “We cannot simply declare ourselves a national board of elections on steroids.”
“We’ll either hasten down a poisonous path where only the winners of an election actually accept the results or show we can still muster the patriotic courage that our forebears showed, not only in victory, but in defeat.”
“If this election were overturned by mere allegations from the losing side, our democracy would enter a death spiral,” McConnell finished with.
Perhaps the most disrespectful moment of the entire scene came when rioters broke into Nancy Pelosi’s office. Granted, Pelosi isn’t always the easiest person to take, but you have to wonder what any of those responsible were trying to prove outside of gaining a small bit of notoriety from their peers.
Is this who we are? I think not.
Here’s what happened when the childish thugs entered Pelosi’s office.
One guy gleefully smiled for the camera as he plopped down in her chair and propped his feet up on her desk. The FBI has already identified the character through the use of facial recognition software.
One of the perpetrators scribbled a threatening note to Pelosi on a manila folder when he wrote, “We will not back down,” while other ripped pictures off of the walls, threw chairs around, and overturned tables.
I ask you again. Is this who we are?
Pelosi was not an exempt target outside on the Capitol grounds either.
Many protesters were carrying signs that read, “Pelosi is Satan.” Sure, many believe this to be a factual statement, but still…Tell us something we don’t already know, or maybe say it differently in a more conservative fashion.
A reporter for The Blaze, Elijah Schaffer, posted a pic of Pelosi’s computer on Twitter along with the following words.
“BREAKING: I am inside Nancy Pelosi’s office with the thousands of revolutionaries who have stormed the building. To put into perspective how quickly staff evacuated, emails are still on the screen alongside a federal alert warning members of the current revolution.”
The tweet was quickly deleted.
To clarify, I am not personally involved in the events today in DC
I’m a full time reporter & regularly document chaotic domestic situations to help inform Americans
The occupiers called themselves “patriots” & were chanting “revolution” hence the choice of identifying words

Other photos of the action show items being blatantly stolen from the Capitol lobby while the small band of Capitol police helplessly watched. Even so, one of the cops took a fire extinguisher to the head and later died from his injuries.
I won’t ask the same question again. No. This is not who we are as a party.
These were extremists. Let there be no mistake about this. No better, no worse, than ANTIFA. They were not representative of the Grand Old Party that was founded on a completely different set of principles.
If you need to, Google its history. You might be surprised.
Unlike the destructive devil-may-care liberals who believe burning and looting is the best way to achieve social reform, Republicans are conservative. Let’s get back to being who we are and take our country back the right way. Together, we can do this.
What do you say?
