Bernie Sanders doesn’t seem to mind when there are RINOs like Adam Kinzinger and Liz Cheney are helping to push a liberal agenda through Congress. However, he’s absolutely furious that someone from his own party could be helping the GOP.
Joe Manchin is a Democrat from West Virginia. However, he’s a thorn in the side of the Democratic Party because he doesn’t always vote the way that the party wants him to vote. It leads to the GOP getting another vote for their cause because Manchin is doing what the people of West Virginia want.
Sanders can’t understand why Manchin is still a Democrat – and essentially called him out as being a DINO (Democrat In Name Only). And much of this has to do with not how Manchin stood in the party’s way of pushing Biden’s Build Back Better plan through but on Roe v. Wade.
The Senate was unable to codify Roe v. Wade, which would have given women the federal right to have an abortion. Of course, it wasn’t just Manchin standing in the way of this passing. There were also countless GOP senators who stood in the way.
And really, if Roe v. Wade is going to be codified, shouldn’t it be done with bipartisan support?
Sanders doesn’t want to discuss such an issue. He took an indirect approach this past Wednesday when he wanted to call out Manchin. Without naming the WV senator, Sanders tweeted, “If you can’t stand up for a woman’s right to choose, for voting rights, for an economy that works for all, why are you caucusing with the Senate Democrats?”
It’s funny that Sanders is the one calling Manchin out for being a DINO. The reality is that Sanders isn’t a Democrat, either. He’s run on many occasions as an independent. And if you listen to him long enough, he’ll identify himself as a Democratic Socialist. He simply identifies as a Democrat for the purpose of being a Senator because of the two-party system that we have in the U.S.
Manchin is listening to the people of West Virginia. Many people are pro-life – and that has to do with taking a Christian approach to all of this.
Abortions are legal. However, there are asterisks that need to be understood. It has to be done at a certain point in the development of the fetus. As more and more Democrats are pressed, we find out that they are willing to allow abortion all the way up until the last push – and that’s murder. If the baby can survive on the outside, it is murder – and there’s not enough liberal BS in the world to sugarcoat that.
Democrats want to point out that getting rid of Roe v. Wade would rip rights away from women – rights that they have had for nearly half a century.
As Sanders says, “It is outrageous that in the year 2022 we are talking about the government saying to women that they cannot have the choice about what they can do with their own bodies.”
Really? It is outrageous that in the year 2022, we are still dealing with Democrats who believe that a fetus with a heartbeat isn’t given its own set of rights.
And, it is outrageous that the Democrats believe that women can have a choice about what they can do with their own bodies while also telling every American that they need to vaccinate against COVID.
Manchin may be a DINO, but we’re glad he’s on our side. Otherwise, the progressives would be murdering babies left and right because having a baby is “inconvenient.” If only there were a way to prevent a pregnancy…
