Court-ordered FISA warrants are required any time American citizens are being spied on. These rules do not seem to apply anymore, now that the left feels as if they do not need to follow the rules. The FBI decided to sidestep the FISA courts here, setting a terrible precedent.
They examined NSA communications, in hopes of uncovering “far-right domestic extremists”. The FBI was told many years ago that this was a violation of the Fourth Amendment. Did that stop them? Of course it didn’t. In Biden’s America, the rule of law does not matter at all.
It’s just a mere suggestion at this point. Presiding FISA judge James Boasberg is now claiming to have made certain discoveries because he has to do that to save face at this point. Can you imagine how much egg they would have on their face right now if they were claiming that they found nothing?
According to Boasberg, “apparent widespread violations of the querying standard” have been discovered. This seems purposefully vague to us. The FISA report that was recently declassified is heavily redacted. This report is dated November 18, 2020 and implicates seven different FBI field offices.
An FBI analyst is said to have run a search for NSA data. Their rationale was that they were looking for results “in connection with predicated criminal investigations relating to domestic terrorism”. Now, they are claiming that 33 results came back.
Did the FBI heed the repeated warnings from a federal judge about these probes? Nope! They were told in 2018 and 2019 that they could not use NSA electric communications as their personal database to pin crimes on people. They are not supposed to partake in this behavior as a means of evading warrants.
Still, they persisted. The FBI has become a gang unto themselves. They do not care for the law, so they have stopped following it. Many officials from this organization should have been jailed after they decided to illegally spy on the Donald Trump campaign back in 2016. Nothing came of that, though.
Kevin Clinesmith is one of the few FBI lawyers to even receive so much as a slap on the wrist. Once the Spygate investigation came to a conclusion, US attorney John Durham vanished. He’s the one who was supposed to be uncovering the origins of the Trump spying campaign.
The illegal “backdoor queries” that the FBI was involved in did not produce any arrests, so we find ourselves wondering what the point even was. When foreign intelligence is gathered by the NSA, American communication is often swept up in the mix. The FBI was given an easy opportunity to do some snooping and they took it.
The full report is a great read. You won’t be able to pull your eyes away once you start to take a closer look. What happens when people who are tired of this start to have their own protests? We cannot lie to you, “defund the FBI” is starting to have a pretty nice ring to it. It would be easier to strip them of funding than the police, that is for sure.
We are waiting for all of the usual whistleblowers to show up but it seems like most of them are too busy at the moment! The sarcasm is being laid on thick here but we cannot help ourselves. It’s interesting to watch all of the people who have so much to say under normal circumstances clam up now.
It is too much to ask for them to maintain the same mentality, regardless of what is going on. The FBI should never be allowed to overstep their boundaries, no matter what. The liberals are fine with it as long as they are getting their way, though. If they think that they can have someone jailed that they do not like, they are perfectly fine with the government overreaching. As for the rest of us, we have had enough.
