Senator Liz Warren has taken notice of the horrific treatment that is being provided to those who were on hand at the Capitol on January 6. As you would have expected, there are many who are silent and afraid. However, this group does not include the same people that you would have thought.
There are a number of Republican lawmakers who are silent at the moment and we only have one question about this. What good are any of you people? Our good friends over at The Gateway Pundit have been covering this awful treatment extensively. It’s not like anyone can claim that no one has been talking about this.
Many of the people that are being mistreated right now were not even inside of the Capitol on this fateful day. Why should they be treated like common criminals for being present at a protest? This certainly goes against what we have been told about the effectiveness of protests.
You see, we have to let them happen without intervening because they serve such an important purpose. Of course, all of this goes by the wayside once the protest is about conservative concerns. Trump rallies rarely lead to any sort of violence but no one seems to care about that.

The Trump rallies that do end violently should not be blamed on the conservatives who attend them. It is not about them at all. It is about the leftists who like to infiltrate these peaceful gatherings. They will do anything in their power to paint Trump supporters as demonic folks who do not care about anyone but themselves.
Senator Elizabeth Warren is speaking out against the poor treatment. Trump supporters are being treated like they have committed actual crimes and some of them are being held without bond. Politico has more and we are surprised that Warren is the one who is leading the way here. Shame on the GOP! Per Politico:
“Sen. Elizabeth Warren fled the Capitol on Jan. 6 from a mob she later called domestic terrorists. Now she and another Senate Democratic leader are standing up for their attackers’ rights as criminal defendants.
Most of the 300-plus people charged with participating in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot have been released while they await trial, but dozens of those deemed to be dangerous, flight risks or at high risk of obstructing justice were ordered held without bond.
D.C. jail officials later determined that all Capitol detainees would be placed in so-called restrictive housing — a move billed as necessary to keep the defendants safe, as well as guards and other inmates. But that means 23-hour-a-day isolation for the accused, even before their trials begin.
And such treatment doesn’t sit well with Warren or Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), two of the chamber’s fiercest critics of solitary confinement. “Solitary confinement is a form of punishment that is cruel and psychologically damaging,” Warren said in an interview. “And we’re talking about people who haven’t been convicted of anything yet.”
The Massachusetts Democrat, a member of Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s leadership team, said that while some limited uses of solitary confinement are justified, she’s worried that law enforcement officials are deploying it to “punish” the Jan. 6 defendants or to “break them so that they will cooperate.”
We never thought that we would be saying this but kudos to Dick Durbin and Elizabeth Warren. They are showing the courage of their convictions right now. They have more humanity than any GOP member currently in Congress. It’s great to see a Democrat who isn’t totally spineless.
After all, there is no reason for these types of concerns to become another form of political theater. Whether you are a Republican or a Democrat, we can all agree on certain things. No one should ever be held without bond when they did not commit an actual crime. This should not be a controversial take by any stretch of the imagination!
